Highlighted here are the projects of NLG at George Washington University, the first chapter in the country.

In November 2015, students hosted a panel event with Save the Children, Refugees International, Doctors of the World USA, and Catholic Relief Services

Students have hosted two Rumie Learn Syria curriculum uploads in support of our partner, the Rumie Initiative

In December 2015, students co-hosted a winter gala. Around 300 people raised nearly $4,000. All proceeds from the event were donated to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

In February 2016, nine students traveled to the United Nations World Headquarters in New York to participate in the ECOSOC Youth Conference for Sustainable Development.

In May 2016, seven students represented NLG at the World Humanitarian Summit in Istanbul, Turkey.

Students visited with elementary-age refugees from Aleppo, Syria at a community center in Sultanbeyli, Turkey.
