Meet Lucas, a senior in the Elliott School of International Affairs. Here’s why he joined No Lost Generation (NLG-GW)- “After reading about the crisis in the news and studying it in my classes, I felt guilty for letting it become more and more abstract. I wanted to help but didn’t know where to start. Last September, when the State Department approached a group of GW students with a call for greater grassroots, student-to-student collaboration in the international response to the Syrian refugee crisis, I immediately knew that with the support of State, our location in Washington DC, and the incredible talent and passion here at GW, there could be no better place for an initiative like No Lost Generation. All of the ingredients were there—all NLG had to do was rearrange them into a combination that was most effective at addressing the issue. I continue to be amazed every day at how far NLG has come since that meeting in September and am excited to see what’s in store for the future.” Help support our cause by donating to NLG-GW today! Every dollar counts!
